Victorian 1800s Figural Carved Walnut Secretary Desk 91″H x 45″ W 24D. Victorian 1800s Figural Carved Walnut Secretary Desk 91″H x 45″ W x 24D. This is a very rare Victorian 1800’s Figural Carved Secretary Desk. The desk measures 91″H x 45″ W x 24D. This measure is for the top and bottom together which are separate pieces. There is a large drawer pictured with face pulls. The drawers are dovetailed and c hampered. The larger drawer with head pulls measures 34 1/2″ W x 19″ D x 2 1/4 H. There are two small drawers inside which measure 9″ by 9″ (inside measure). There is one small drawers inside which measures 9″x13″ (inside measure). The small drawers each have a silver colored pull which has movable parts. There are two open compartments above the small drawers which measure 10 1/2″ d x 17 7/8″ w x 4H(inside measures). This desk is constructed of Walnut wood. The writing table is plain wood. The writing area is 12″ D x 35 7/8″ W. In the top part are two beveled glass doors. The glass is is approximately 37″ x 34″. Behind the glass doors are three decorative wood shelves. So there are four spaces to place books or treasures. I will identify the spaces from top to bottom, and number them one, two, three, four. I will give the approximate height of each space. One is 13 3/4″H, two is 9 1/2″H, three is 10″ H and four is 9 1/2″H. The shelves themselves are 39″ long x 8 1/2″ wide x 1 thick.
